In 2016, the Learning Disabilities Mortality Review was created as a response to the findings that people with learning disabilities were dying prematurely.
The government response to the LeDeR report was published in February 2020, was rapidly followed by the coronavirus pandemic and has perhaps not been given the attention it deserves.
