I have been judged by family and friends coworkers and hospital staff because I have a mental illness. I run a depression/bipolar support group to help others like me who have mental illness and have no other place to find support or understanding.I myself am not ashamed of saying I live with bipolar anxiety and borderline personality disorder.
It is an illness that I have it doesn’t define who or what I am. In a lot of ways it makes me a stronger and more compassionate person.
Not everyone can do what I have done, but everyone can help change stigma in their own unique way. It has helped me to accept that I have mental health illness.
