Social skills training (SST) helps individuals improve their social behavior and interactions with others. These interventions focus on both verbal and nonverbal communication (Reichow & Volkmar, 2010).SST is used in special education, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and even relationship therapy (Beidel et al., 2014).
Since SST is also often offered in groups, it begs the question:How are these groups run precisely? There is not a standardized format for these training groups.
