Avil Beckford Are the greatest books mostly tragic and depressing? Season of Migration to the North by Tayeb Salih is the author’s best known book.

The story has an excellent start,Isn’t that a great start of a story?And the end is quite compelling,And there are some brilliant moments between the story start and end.

But whichever way I look at Tayeb Salih’s , for me, it is a tragic and depressing story. While I was pursuing my informal liberal arts education, some of these books drained me because they are so depressing to read.First published in English in 1969, Season of Migration to the North by Tayeb Salih follows the life of two Sudanese men.
