Covid-19 is a catastrophe. That much is clear. But, like all catastrophes, this pandemic can be measured and we can respond to it.

Some of our responses might seem small: washing our hands, not touching our faces, physical distancing. Even in the face of a pandemic, though, we have more power than we think.

We can do this. I see this for myself every day. Over the past few weeks, the work and cooperation that I’ve seen across our health services is like nothing I have ever seen before.
