Death by suicide is estimated to occur every 11 minutes in the U.S.A., yet a new form of self-harm might be emerging; seeking to catch Covid-19 on purpose, in order to secure death through this potentially suicidal act.
This is the startling conclusion of a new study, yet to be published, entitled ‘Preliminary Investigation of the Association Between COVID-19 and Suicidal Thoughts and Behaviors in the U.S.’ This survey of members of the community found a portion of individuals in the USA may be intentionally exposing themselves to the virus, with intent to kill themselves.
