Broadway star and actor Nick Cordero has died from COVID-19 at the age of 41, according to an Instagram post from his wife, on Sunday.Cordero earned a Tony nomination for his role in the Broadway show “Bullets Over Broadway” and also starred in “Waitress” and “Rock of Ages.” He also appeared in the TV series “Blue Bloods.” “God has another angel in heaven now,” Cordero’s wife Amanda Kloots wrote on Instagram. “My darling husband passed away this morning.
He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth.” Cordero was hospitalized in late March with pneumonia, which doctors soon learned was caused by COVID-19.
