A Critical Piece of Your Mental Health Wellness Journey

Is it on how much farther you still have to go to get back to wellness?

Or is it on how far you’ve come from where you started?

Because where we focus our attention can either make or “brake” our recovery from depression and anxiety.

Let me explain.

At this time each year I do a bike ride to raise money, which goes to support land conservation in a local area called the Sourland Mountains.

My strategy is simple: FINISH!

What makes it particularly challenging is there are some really long, steep hills you have to surmount toward the end.

The first time I did the ride, these hills got the better of me several times! I had to get off my bike and walk up some of them.

That was in large part because I set myself up to FAIL by continuing to look
