Will the Coronavirus Change Us?

In my previous posting on the Coronavirus, I argued that we must resist two impulses – greed and fear - that threaten our relationships with others.

Although certain institutions of society, especially our economic system and its stock market, sometimes legitimize those feelings, they are not what we need now.

When individuals surrender to narrowly private commitments, everyone suffers. However, unbridled greed and fear are extreme reactions to our present difficulties.
