Why I Think We Should Normalize Talking About Miscarriage and Child Loss

In my short 22 years of life I have experienced a lot. I was adopted at a young age and was given a privileged life with a loving family that traveled with us and gave us experiences.

I struggled with mental health and abuse issues, as well as self-harm and insecurities. However, the most traumatizing thing I faced out of all of those things listed above is child loss because of a miscarriage.

Never in my life have I actively tried to have a baby. I am not ready to be a parent in any way, but that doesn’t mean that “accidents” don’t happen and we end up in a situation that we didn’t expect.
