PF is a largely unknown lung disease: While over 50,000 new cases are diagnosed annually, awareness of PF remains very low. According to a recent survey conducted by the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF), 86% of Americans do not know the symptoms of PF, which include shortness of breath, fatigue and a dry, persistent cough.
