What 'Health' Means When You Have a Chronic Illness

While watching commercials or reading articles about “healthy” lifestyles, it becomes abundantly clear that ableism runs amok.

So, what does it mean to be healthy when you have chronic illnesses? As with much of life, we may find the need to redefine things as we grow and change.

For me, being healthy while living with chronic illnesses means doing my best to care for myself in a well-rounded way including body, mind and spirit.
