Yesterday I went to a neurologist at a research hospital about an hour and 30 minutes away from home. They specialized in multiple sclerosis, which I knew I didn’t have, but I was desperate to see this neurologist.

Back in July 2019, I woke up screaming and writhing in pain. All I could do was lay in bed while my fiancé fed me by hand and covered me in ice packs and microwaved towels.

Eventually, I was taken to an urgent care where I was told I could have nerve damage and needed to see a neurologist and rheumatologist.
