However, in the aftermath of abuse, that once noble warrior can feel defeated, weak, and small. Fear, loneliness, humiliation, confusion, loss of self, and brokenness are just a few emotional responses to being attacked or controlled by another individual. I am a survivor of domestic abuse.

I have finally replenished my inner light, but it took a while. Five years inside that relationship, followed by 2 years of healing, and rebuilding.
