Which Are You Taking Better Care of—Yourself or Your Car?

some health difficulties because she doesn’t drink enough water. Her doctor told her she’s DEHYDRATED! And it seems that her doctor gave her the same advice my doctor shared with me: Drink half of your body weight in ounces.

For example, I weigh 140 pounds, so I should drink 70 ounces of water per day. I’ll admit, this was a struggle to start with! I had to run to the bathroomabout every hour when I first started drinking this much water! (My body eventually got used to it, that problem stopped after a while.

)I felt better and certainly had fewer migraines. I later read some research that noted how migraine sufferers in a study were identified as being dehydrated, and, after increasing their fluids, they had fewer migraines.

This is particularly important for those of us who take any medications thathave a “drying out” effect (and possibly cause constipation). So, I figured out a way to help my patients increase their fluid intake andwant to share it with you! So I will leave you with this to think about (which is what I told my girlfriend! ):Would you drive your car without having enough oil in the engine? Probably NOT! Water is to OUR BODIES what oil is to the car! So don’t run your body without its “OIL”! Don’t take better care of your car than YOUR BODY! Originally posted March 16, 2017
