Alas, here we are. Me, sitting at my desk, reflecting on the past several months, how I landed back in the muck, and how I got myself out.

I’m adopted, and I often write about my experience as an adoptee and how it affects my mental health. I’ve written essays about the death of my adoptive father and the complex pain of reuniting with my birth father.
