Spoiler Alert: The Trigger Warning You May Want for 'Thor: Love and Thunder'

I am going to be giving out a major spoiler for “Thor: Love and Thunder,” in this story. It’s literally the point of the story. If you do not want to be spoiled for this movie, please stop reading now. Maybe go play with your pets and think about anything else other than this story.

Once again, here is another spoiler warning. Do not email my manager saying I ruined your life by spoiling this MCU movie for you. He really doesn’t want that. See?

Going once, going twice…alright, here we go.

There’s a massive trigger and content warning that is going around Twitter for the new Marvel movie, “Thor: Love and Thunder.”

If you’re anything like me, the Thor movies are your favorite due to the emotional layers, beautiful colors, mythos, and of course the ode to bisexuality with Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tessa Thompson as the main faces in the current franchise. I am a Thor fangirl, and I was so excited to see this movie, but now I’m re-thinking it due to a major character-related death in the movie.

OK, now I’m serious. Here comes the spoiler.

There is a massive character death by cancer in this movie, and apparently cancer is one of the main subplots of the movie. Those who have seen the movie have reported that they wish they knew, because they wouldn’t have seen it, which is fair. It doesn’t mean it’s a bad movie, but for a movie that’s supposed to be a love story, a tragic death due to a sadly, highly relatable disease can touch too close to home for too many. I went and looked up the plot synopsis to see how much cancer was spoken about, and found out that it drives massive parts of the plot. I’m still trying to be respectful of the exact spoiler, but it’s a very prominent character and I’m kind of mad about it.
