No Panic has been contributing to the community last week by welcoming 3 work experience students from 2 of the local schools.They proved to be a mature and enthusiastic group and really got stuck in to the charity we are very proud of them and are sure they will go far in their working lives and we are privileged to be a part of their personal journey.Here’s what the students said about their time spent with us.Keren and I have both gained a wider understanding of the administrative running of an everyday business, regardless of the type.The organisational ability to record previous financial data from a PayPal account, has prepared us for controlling our personal finances in the future, with things such as University and budgeting for a

My everyday life is fairly ordinary. I work as a temporary lecturer and am also a freelance trainer, teaching a variety of subjects to adults in college and at business premises.  I have been doing this for less than a year, and it is quite fun in contrast to the heavy workload I had previously as a college manager.   I travel to and from work on the London Underground and packed buses, and in previous roles I spent most of my week travelling to and fro across London on visits to businesses, taking speeding lifts to offices in buildings I had never visited before.

Do Panic Attacks Cause Heart Attacks?
Towards the end of 2008, some research was published in the European Heart Journal, which as part of a larger study looked at the links between panic disorder and heart disease. The results of this study were reported fairly widely and one particular article, in the DailyMail, entitled “Panic attack sufferers’ increased heart risk” led the No Panic telephone lines being deluged with calls from panic attack sufferers and, in particular, many calls from people who had previously been reassured that panic attacks do not lead to heart attacks.

What is a Panic Attack?
A panic attack is an exaggeration of the body’s normal response to fear.  Your heart will start to beat faster, you will have trouble breathing and you may even feel like you are going to faint, have a heart attack or even die.  A panic attack can develop very quickly and will usually reach its peak within 5 -10 minutes. The length of an attack can vary hugely but typically lasting between 5 and 30 minutes.  Panic attacks can happen anywhere and at any time. Although Panic attacks are extremely unpleasant they cannot harm you mentally or physically. Panic attacks may come out of the blue but they are always triggered by something. Finding the trigger will help you manage the attacks.
