My Experience With Making Friends as Someone on the Autism Spectrum

As a young entrepreneur, you’re always looking for new ways to make income through side hustles or a consistent business. With more people doing their business over the internet there are dozens of ways to start making an income online.There are a lot of different ways to make money online but I’ll go over a few that I think have a high earning potential as well as being very passive.

When we talk about trauma, we may tend to think of it as being caused by a single terrible event, such as an accident or an incident in which we felt we were in danger. However, this way of thinking may make it easy for us to forget about the other things in our lives that cause us distress and can leave us dealing with the emotional aftermath of our trauma for years to come. These other events include losing a loved one, losing a home or belongings, and of course, becoming ill with a chronic illness.

With Valentine’s Day soon approaching, I tend to think about my relationship with my boyfriend and what I’ve been able to learn from his journey with cerebral palsy. Here are the lessons he has taught me.

In a bid to try to put some of the more traumatic elements of my recent past to bed, I recently binned some of my old diaries. (Not before shredding them to within an inch of their lives, of course, because God forbid the bin men should encounter a single mortifying word).  I’ve kept a diary almost religiously since I was around 14, and despite there being little of note happening in my life on a daily basis during my early teens and beyond, I enjoyed recording it for my future self’s eyes only.

However, even if they try to hide it, there will be signs of who they are.If you know what to look for, you’ll see subtle signs of their true intentions right from the start. Pay attention to how people make you feel daily, and if there’s any fleeting sense that something is off, don’t ignore it.

ADHD extrovert — someone who feels energized surrounded by friendly people. I find comfort and security in others, and I try to return the favor in volumes. I love to hug, share, and joke with people, especially when they’re sad.

Q: “My son is struggling to stay on top of his work at college — especially longer-term assignments, like term papers, that need to be tackled in chunks and started well before the due date. How can he get better at this?”A: Your son needs a ‘study buddy.’ This is a person who meets him in the library for work and study sessions. A human is more compelling than any calendar app, and the library is less distracting than the dorm.
