My Disability Is My Kind of Beautiful

Some people think just because I have a disability, I shouldn’t feel beautiful. But that’s not true. I feel beautiful because I’m unique in my own way.

I can’t change my disability and I don’t want to. I feel like being who I am as someone with a disability makes me beautiful.

I’m allowed to feel beautiful without it being some kind of crime. As I mentioned, being beautiful makes me who I am. With my depression, I still wake up each morning happy that I’m healthy and alive and that right there is beauty in itself.
