But a new study suggests it is possible to strengthen our self-control by making simple changes to our environment. Researchers from the University of Helsinki and the Max Planck Institute for Human Development explain that enhancing the ability to improve self-control is always important but may be even more so in adapting to life in self-isolation.
Indeed, we are all figuring out how to restructure our lives. Home confinement may mean greater temptations as the kitchen and pantry are literally down the hall.
