Did you know that May 5th is World Laughter Day? So, what is laughter yoga? I’m glad you asked! Laughter Yoga is a unique concept which involves combining prolonged intentionally laughter with calming breathing exercises of yoga.
It was started in 1995 by a medical doctor in Mumbai, India after he did some research for an article he was writing on the benefits of laughter. Dr.
Kataria discovered the research clearly demonstrated the health benefits from laughter and it didn’t matter whether that laughter was spontaneous or intentional (faked!).
