Japanese actress Takeuchi Yuko has died at the age of 40, according to Variety, on Sunday. While her death is still being investigated, Japanese authorities believe she died by suicide. “It came all of a sudden, and we are all stunned and saddened by the news,” her talent agency, Stardust Promotion, told the Japan Times.
Yuko starred in many film and TV roles throughout her career, starting with the series “Cyborg” in 1996. Since then she’s worked on projects such as the Hulu/HBO Asia series “Miss Sherlock” and films such as “The Triumph of General Rouge,” “Strawberry Night” and most recently, “The Confidence Man JP: Princess.” She voiced a character for the Japanese translation of Pixar’s “Inside Out” and earned a Japan Academy award for
