Japanese actress Takeuchi Yuko has died at the age of 40, according to Variety, on Sunday. While her death is still being investigated, Japanese authorities believe she died by suicide. “It came all of a sudden, and we are all stunned and saddened by the news,” her talent agency, Stardust Promotion, told the Japan Times.

Yuko starred in many film and TV roles throughout her career, starting with the series “Cyborg” in 1996.
