ADHD from those outside of our culture.I was asked many times when I was young why I was playing “the dumb blonde.” I am intelligent, but I have to remind myself of that still.

Even though I have advanced degrees, have received accolades for my work, and started a learning center to help those with ADHD and learning disabilities, I feel inferior.

How is it possible for someone to think this way with so many achievements under her belt?I feel like an imposter, as if I have some character defect.

They would either end at the point where they’re off to treatment or take you through treatment with them and end with them going home.

Roughly 11 years ago, I walked out of my room and turned off the light switch. Instead of walking down the stairs, I turned back around and touched every pillow on my bed five times. This happened every day for the next few months. Touching objects repeatedly is a recognizable trait of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and so naturally, after being taken to the doctor, I was diagnosed with OCD.
