I learnt to cope by telling myself I don't care

 I didn’t. When you’re in the mist of depression, where It came from or why is unimportant, the only thing that matters is to leave it behind.

And that is far easier said than done.I had a happy upbringing in a family that cared for each other. I got on well in life, had loads of friends, had (and still have) a happy marriage with a great son, and a career where I was successful.

I have always been healthy, being active in sport with many other interests such as photography, hiking, travelling and  gardening.That surely is a recipe for long-lasting happiness, right?
