depression. It “just happened” and I had learned it was fruitless to try to fight it. My brain just needed rest. It was like I got up sitting on the edge of the black vertical “mind shaft” and I had to go down until I felt better.
The last few weeks, I’ve been revisiting the notion that there was no decision to be made. I’ve been trying a different approach.
I lie on the couch, but instead of turning on mindless TV, I begin listening to uplifting music or an inspirational audio book.
