Have you ever heard a family member, friend, or coworker make a joke or comment that stigmatized mental health? I recently had a situation come up where the person used the “crazy” word to describe another person.

I remember thinking I had three responses I could choose: There once was a time in my life where I would have chosen the first response, said nothing at all, and just held my anger inside.

What I finally realized was that by saying nothing – it was as if I was agreeing with them! So, over the past 20 years, I’ve been on a mission to make a difference by educating people when I have the opportunity to do so.
