But imagine not even being able to feel calm enough and rested enough to concentrate on watching TV or read because your startle response and hypervigilance mean you’re in such a constant state of anxiety that you are always too on edge, thinking danger is just around the corner and about to happen at any moment, you can’t even engage in watching TV.
