Three of the most burdensome and unfortunately commons conditions affecting people in the United States are obesity, diabetes, and depression.
The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention found that the prevalence of obesity in 2017-18 in the United States was 42.4% (around 138 million people).
Meanwhile, the CDC estimates that around 10% of Americans have diabetes (of which 90-95% have type 2 diabetes), and that 7.6% of Americans 12 years of age and older may suffer from depression in any given 2-week period.
