It’s almost always in hindsight that we see what we’ve gained from our most arduous trials. Winston Churchill famously said: “When you’re going through hell, keep going.” It’s good advice.

When you’re in the fight, you must keep fighting. It’s survival first. Understanding the why of what happened and how we can better prepare for the next event will come another day.

It’s too early to fully know what lessons we’ll ultimately learn from this pandemic. But as we navigate the twists and turns of life in a COVID-19 world, we do know that whatever lessons we learn, we will have paid dearly for them.
